Trent is a student currently in grade 12 at St. Joseph Catholic High School. Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Trent played in the tournament from grade 7 up to grade 9 starting at St. Kateri. In those two years, Trent and his sister raised over $4,500 for the charity by going around door to door asking for donations. Trent joined the 3D Children’s Society Board of Directors in 2019, and has been helping the charity with events such as Storm game fundraisers and the 3D Gala ever since.
“When I was first asked to join the board of directors by Darren, I was surprised. I did not expect to be asked as I was only in grade 10. Unsure of how much I would be able to contribute, I still wanted to be a part of this wonderful charity. So of course I said yes, as I am always eager to help out my community in any way that I can. Since joining, I have been amazed by our impact, as well as how many families need our support. To see just how much of an impact that we have on kids and their families is astounding. Nothing feels better to me than being a part of an organization that’s able to help these families, and nothing makes me more proud than being able to say I am on the board. The smiles on the families faces when we are able to help is something I hope to never forget or stop contributing to. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the charity, and I look forward to helping for as long as I can.”
